"UPDATE 10/15/24 : This is still not resolved and now this State Farm office is no longer responding to my emails. I finally got State Farm to stop payment on the last check sent to the former lender only to be told I had to give it 3 weeks to receive a re-issued check that they were somehow able to send back and forth nearly weekly to the lender (but I have to wait 3 weeks). This office could have called to try and make things right and advocate for the refund to be issued or expedited but nothing. I would recommend NOT using State Farm and specifically this location. Poor customer service, did not help make a difficult and stressful situation right. I gave several weeks notice, and a forwarding address, that I was selling my home and cancelling my policy, State Farm still took money from my escrow account for homeowner's insurance before closing and weeks before the renewal date. I was told after the policy cancels I would get a full refund from State Farm. Never happened. They sent the funds to the lender after the house was sold and the loan paid off. 4 weeks later I call and find out State Farm and Cornerstone lending have been mailing the check back and forth to each other instead of to me. I never received any communication from State Farm. I reached out via email to my former agent and it was ignored. I was told they wouldn't normally call. Now I'm still trying to get MY escrow funds from State Farm."

"I do apologize for this inconvenience Cary. I looked at our notes and our team followed your instructions as requested. The issue with the escrow and your policy getting paid has to do with the mortgage servicing department and the timing of your sale. I hate the fact that this happened and as a team we are discussing some strategies to possibly avoid this from happening in the future. A lot of times when someone has a closing real close to their renewals this issue can happen. Again, my deepest apologies and would be happy to have a meeting with you to discuss further."

"I had a great experience working with these guys looking for Homeowner's Insurance quotes. Matt Herek was the best agent I worked with the entire time I've been shopping around; incredibly friendly, listened to what my needs were and tried to make his quote as apples to apples as possible, and overall just genuine and honest. Really felt like he was trying to help me find the best quote that they could provide rather than pushing more and more on me like many other agents, which goes a long way for me. If I have any other insurance needs moving forward, I'll absolutely be reaching out again."

"Very poor service from this office. I had started a new policy with clear explanation that I would be fixing up the home. They then proceeded to demand entire renovations within 3 months, and when discussing it with the office representative they lied to me about "only needing minor repairs"... then simply stopped communicating once I demanded clarification."

"The Gentlemen who I talked with tried to overcharge me. Then got upset yelled at me and hung up on me. Due to the fact that he did not understand nor did I, that there are two state farm locations within a half of a mile of each other even though I asked for the lady I wanted to deal with."

"I am extremely dissatisfied with The service i have received from this office. I have been a member since march of 2021. due to my record my premium is already pretty high I was over charged by 270 dollars last month for my insurance and was told my rate would revert to what it was supposed to be which i was also told that i would receive a credit for the overcharge which was not processed, nor was my rate lowered. i have called and left several messages and every time i talk to someone i am told i will get a call back. today the rep Vicki told me " well why did you just pay your bill." I did pay it and I was overcharged by an obnoxious amount and yet i still paid the over charge. with the promise that it would be corrected which clearly it was not. As it stands i would not recommend you do business with this branch as Matt himself is never available, Vicki is rude and abrasive and despite what they tell you they do not call back."

"Mr. Christian Britt: I would like to start by saying that we are honored to serve all our customers insurance needs. The team in my agency takes pride in serving these needs on a daily basis. I am very lucky to have opportunity to work with such an amazing team. In reference to your issue, I spent a lot of time working with my team about your situation. I know you're frustrated with your circumstances but allow me to provide some clarity on how we got here. (1) You lost multiple discounts; Multiple Line (lapse of the qualifying policy), Good Driving (due to an at fault accidents), and Drive Safe and Save which you never set up. (2) Due to 3 at fault accidents in the last 14 months your policy was surcharged accordingly. Frankly, I am surprised this policy was renewed. However, the charge at renewal was $400 over the six month term. Now that we have the facts of the rating of the policy we need to also recap your billing account: (1) In the last 6 months your account has gone unpaid and into cancellation status. (2) Your current unpaid balance is accurate I understand your frustration, however it is important that we look at the facts on the table and not the assumptions. Feel free to call the office and ask for Matt Dougherty (not Matt Herek) and we can discuss further. We want to make sure that we address all of your issues and do as much as we can to serve your needs! We appreciate your business and look forward to working with you."

"I have been with Matt Dougherty for 4 years when I first moved to Omaha. They were very helpful initially setting up my account. They stayed on top of getting my odometer readings for the drive safe and save program. I received contact from them on an annual basis about life insurance policies and other financial programs which had commission tiers. However, when I needed them most right before a big expensive move out of town, I could not get in touch with an agent to work through my insurance needs in the transition of moving out of state. The first time I contacted the agency, I spoke with Jacob, who answered my questions ambigously ("I think", "Maybe", and "Probably"). I asked to receive a call back from an agent who could assist me with more certainty. I was told Victoria would contact me. I received no response for 2 days. I called again to the office, and left a message on their answering machine. I never received a response to that message either. I contacted a new agent in Texas where I was moving to, and they were able to answer my questions with certainty and transferred my account. My feeling about this agency and agent is they are heavily invested in selling commissionable products, but in general cannot be relied upon by consumers in times of need. You should look elsewhere for a more reliable agency."
